We will visit two of the remote hardwood hammock islands, one with an old hunting lodge that is now over 60 years old and has been used as backdrop for many movies and scenes from Miami Vice and CSI Miami. Islands like this are a refuge for birds of prey, raccoons, turtles and other wildlife that find nesting places here. On the way back, we will cross the territories of several alligators, who will come close to make sure that we won't outstay our welcome.
